Learn Japanese and admitted into Japanese school

Gaining proficiency in Japanese language is the most important things for people to move, live and settle in Japan. And this is also the easiest way to move to Japan specially for students who does not have good academic background. WASHI Global is bringing this opportunity for African students

  • For Language Learning: Anyone at any age can learn Japanese language (any level, N5 to N1) at our center. There is no age or educational barrier on learning the language. But if anyone is interested to pursue their career to Japan for further language learning by admitting to Japanese Language School in Japan, the minimum educational qualification is the “A Level Graduate”. So, when they are in senior school, they can start learning the language along with their regular study and complete the basic level (N5) and after completing their “A Level” they can get admit into Language School in Japan.

Opportunities in Japan

  • Part-Time Employment for Students: One of the key advantages for Ugandan students studying in Japan is the ability to work part-time while attending language schools or academic institutions. Japanese law allows students to work up to 28 hours per week, with an average hourly wage of 1,100 yen/hour (approx. USD 8.50/hour). This allows students to earn around 125,000 yen/month (approx. USD 960), significantly contributing to their living expenses.
  • Full-Time Employment and Career Prospects: Upon completing their studies, students can apply for full-time positions in Japan. The starting salary for a full-time employee in Japan is approximately 180,000 yen/month (approx. USD 1,385). Graduates with higher levels of language proficiency and specialized degrees often command even higher salaries.
  • Pathway to Permanent Residency and Citizenship: Students who secure full-time employment in Japan and maintain their status as residents for five years are eligible to apply for permanent residency and, eventually, citizenship. This offers Ugandan students the chance to build long-term careers and settle in Japan, should they choose to do so.
